More than 200 Osage County Republicans turned out March 10 for the county presidential caucus at Osage County Senior Center, Osage City.

Osage County Senior Citizens Center, Osage City, was the site of the Republican Presidential Caucus March 10. More than 20 volunteers helped with logistics, credentialing and balloting when the doors opened for registration at 8:30 a.m.

At 10 a.m., five-minute timed speeches were given by local representatives for presidential candidates, Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul, Rick Santorum and Mitt Romney, prior to the balloting which commenced at10:30 a.m. Caucus voters continued the registration and voting process until 1 p.m.

More than 200 people cast votes in the caucus, which is an increase from the approximate 150 votes cast in the 2008 Republican Presidential Caucus in Osage County.
