be present to win

OSAGE CITY—With a few days remaining until the Christmas on
Us grand prize drawing, only five of 10 instant $50 prizes have
been claimed. The drawing will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, which
means any instant prize winners this week will have until that time
to claim their prizes.
Winning numbers for the remaining five instant prizes are hidden
within the Christmas on Us ads in today’s issue of The Herald-Chronicle,
on pages 7A, 8A and 9A.
One instant prize winner, Phillip Crocker, Osage City, stepped forward
Friday, after seeing his ticket number printed in last week’s
newspaper.
Crocker received his Christmas on Us ticket at Furniture Loft. He
discovered his winning ticket number printed in the D&D Tire
Center, Inc. advertisement. Crocker said he plans to use his winnings
to purchase a battery for his 1953 Cadillac, if he can find one
at a participating merchant.
Five $50 instant prizes remain to be claimed as the countdown continues
for two $1,000 grand prizes and two $250 runner-up prizes. Match
your ticket number with one in the ads and get $50 in scrip money
that can be spent at any participating business. For the final week,
instant prizes must be claimed by 10 a.m. Saturday at The Herald-Chronicle.
Three winning ticket numbers in last week’s newspaper were
not claimed by the deadline Monday. A ticket number from Lyndon
Building Materials appeared in the Lyndon Phillips 66 ad; a ticket
from Harmon Dental appeared in the M&M Market ad; and a ticket
from Theel Plumbing appeared in the Gibson Pharmacy ad.
Any tickets collected throughout the Christmas on Us promotion should
be saved, and brought to the grand prize drawing Saturday, where
winners will be asked to verify their winning tickets. Any instant
prize winning numbers published in the newspaper that go unclaimed
will not be included in the drawing.
The final drawing will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, in downtown
Osage City, at the corner of Sixth and Market streets. The Herald-Chronicle
staff will be serving free donuts and hot chocolate in appreciation
of merchants and local shoppers who have made the contest possible.
Winners must be present to claim prizes, and the scrip money is
only good at participating merchants. It is simple to win; all that
you have to do is show up with the winning ticket collected from
participating merchants. It could be tough to decide where to spend
the prize money with 29 merchants to choose. |
