Overbrook’s Oktoberfest begins this Friday and runs through Saturday. This year’s theme is “Catch the Spirits.” The Oktoberfest will include authentic food, beverage, crafters and artists throughout the park.

On Friday, the Oktoberfest starts at 4 p.m. with the tapping of the keg. At 4:30 p.m. the Pat Aubrey band will play, followed at 5-7 p.m. Schuhplattler Verein dancers and Trent Freeman pottery demo. The day concludes with keg barrel and stein races at 8 p.m.

On Saturday, the fun begins at 10 a.m. with the Pat Auberry Band. At 2 p.m., 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. the Schuhplattler Verein dancers, Trent Freeman pottery demonstrations. All day you can watch Russel Ehart and his log carving. The crowning of the prince and princess will be at 5 p.m.

On Saturday evening, from 6-8 p.m. the keg barrel and stein races will be ran. The Brian McCarty band will play from 7:30-11 p.m.

Admission will be $1, with children 12 and under free. There is still room for arts and crafts individuals.
