Burlingame elementary and middle school students participated in activities from the past last Friday for Kansas Day at the Schuyler Museum in Burlingame. Students learned about cowboys that traveled the Santa Fe Trail, viewed carvings from mountain man Bud Masters and were allowed to sew on a pedal-powered sewing machine. “Burlingame students greatly enjoyed this day and appreciate the time given by museum volunteers,” said Burlingame Elementary School Principal Tamara Buche.
