The city of Overbrook issued a boil advisory after discovering
early Wednesday, Jan. 13, that all the water had leaked out
of the town’s two water towers. Most of the town’s
water customers were without water as of late Wednesday afternoon,
and Overbrook City Clerk Jim Koger said the leak had not been
located as of then.
Koger said it was discovered around 7 a.m. the towers were empty.
Combined, the towers hold approximately 125,000 gallons of water.
Any residents with water pressure are advised to boil their
water before using it.
Koger said the city is working with Osage County Emergency Management
to procure drinking water.
