The county fair season begins today with the annual Melvern 4-H Sunflower Days celebration. The fair offers 4-H judging and exhibits all three days, a baby show, alumni lunch, talent show, games, carnival, parade and fireworks display.

Thursday from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., all 4-H or FFA exhibits are to be entered at the Melvern Community Center. FCS judging will begin at 1 p.m. and the goat and sheep show kick off at 6 p.m. Activities continue with the baby show at 6:30 p.m. at the Melvern Community Center. Homemade ice cream will be served at 7 p.m. at the City Park. The talent show and bingo both start at 8 p.m. at Melvern City Park.
