Historians, re-enacters, entertainers and riders collected at the Overbrook fairgrounds Saturday for the Santa Fe Trail Festival, a tribute to the historic trail that runs through the city. Events included old-fashioned meals from chili to ham and beans, entertainment included musical performers and horse and mule shows, with demonstrations of the era in between, including weaving, corn grinding, spinning, rope making, blacksmithing and cider pressing.
