OSAGE CITY—The countdown is underway for the Christmas On
Us grand prize drawing for two $1,000 prizes, and two $250 prizes
to be held 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 19 in downtown Osage City. Three
winners claimed instant prizes in the Christmas on Us promotion
this week, picking up $50 each in scrip money at The Osage County
Herald-Chronicle office.
Jay Wilson, Osage City, produced one of the seven numbers hidden
in last week’s advertisements. His ticket was pulled from
those collected at Harmon Dental, Osage City, and the number was
hidden in the Lyndon Building Material advertisement. Wilson said
he would likely use his winnings at Harmon Dental.
The second winner was Loranah Swank, Lyndon, whose ticket was pulled
from those collected at Dollar General, Carbondale, and the number
was hidden in the McCoy’s Radio Shack advertisement. She will
probably use her prize money at Four Corners Restaurant, or to buy
groceries, or “Who knows?” she said.
Claiming the third prize was Leanna Streeter, Overbrook, who received
her winning number at Casey’s General Store, Carbondale. The
number was hidden in the Osage Hardware ad. She said she will likely
use the money to buy Christmas presents or groceries.
The four unclaimed numbers included one from Furniture Loft, hidden
in the D&D Tire ad; another from Casey’s, Osage City,
hidden in The Osage County Herald-Chronicle ad; one from As Good
As New, hidden in the El Mezcal ad; and one from Gibson Pharmacy,
hidden in the M&M Market ad.
Four $50 instant prizes remain up for grabs in this final week of
The Herald-Chronicle’s Christmas on Us promotion. Instant
prizes may be claimed at the newspaper office during business hours
Thursday and Friday, and up until 9 a.m. Saturday Dec. 19 before
the grand prize drawing in downtown Osage City.
Grand prize winners must be present at the drawing to win. Scrip
money is only good at the 31 participating businesses.
