Christmas on Us
Winners claim Christmas
cash in first week of contest
OSAGE CITY—The first two winners in the Christmas on Us
promotion brought their winning tickets to The Osage County
Herald-Chronicle office last week to pick up $50 in scrip money
to be spent at participating businesses.
Nancy Morgan, Scranton, and her granddaughter, Haley Chenoweth,
claimed one of the four numbers hidden in last week’s
advertisements. Allen Dominoski, Topeka, was the other winner.
Morgan’s ticket was pulled from those collected at Casey’s
General Store, in Scranton, and the number was hidden in the
Theel’s Plumbing advertisement. Morgan said she would
likely use the money to buy gas and lunch.
Dominoski’s ticket was pulled from those collected at
Jim’s Garage, in Scranton, and the number was hidden in
the Feltner Floors and Furniture advertisement. Dominoski said
he would probably use his winnings at Skip’s Thriftway,
Dollar General, or Casey’s General Store, all participants
in the Christmas on Us promotion.

Unclaimed numbers included one from Skip’s Thriftway,
hidden in the R&R Salon ad. Another, from TNT, was hidden
in the Four Corners Steak House ad.
Eight $50 instant prizes remain up for grabs, in this, the second
week of The Herald-Chronicle’s Christmas on Us promotion,
as the countdown is underway for the grand prize drawing for
two $1,000 prizes, and two $250 prizes to be held 9 a.m. Saturday,
Dec. 19. See pages 6B, 7B and 8B of this week’s Herald-Chronicle
to find hidden ticket numbers in the ads and a complete list
of rules.
For every $10 spent at participating merchants, shoppers get
a ticket. Those who don’t buy, or who are just looking,
can get a free ticket each week by stopping by The Herald-Chronicle’s
office. No purchase is necessary to win.
You must be present to win, and the scrip money is only good
at participating merchants. It is simple to win but tough to
decide where to spend the winnings with the 31 merchants participating
in this exciting contest.
