Voters
select candidates for general election
Tuesday’s primary election produced three candidates each
for a USD 421 Board of Education seat and Burlingame mayor.
For Burlingame mayor, Brenda Dorr, 40 votes, Ray Hovestadt Sr.,
76 votes, and R. Martin Kane, 37 votes. Julia Self was eliminated
from the race with 17 votes.
For USD 421 Board of Education Position No. 1B, Brent Baker, six
votes, Devin Sprecker, 27 votes, and Lori Sturdy, 10 votes. George
Stutzman received one vote.
The top three vote-getters from each race will appear on the ballot
in the April 7 general election. |
