OSAGE CITY—Three
winners in the Christmas on Us promotion brought their winning tickets
to The Osage County Herald-Chronicle office last week to pick up
their $50 in scrip money. Gavin Smith and Janice Wright, of Osage
City and Carol Self, Burlingame claimed three of the four prizes
in the second week of the promotion. Six more $50 instant prizes
remain up for grabs in upcoming issues as the countdown begins for
the grand prize drawing for two $1,000 prizes, two $250 prizes and
any unclaimed $50 prizes to be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 20
in downtown Osage City.
Smith found the number that appeared on his ticket from Aunt Dee’s
BP in the Jim’s Garage ad in the Dec. 4 issue of The Herald-Chronicle.
He plans to use the scrip money for gas.
Wright found the number on the ticket she received from Jerry’s
Thriftway in the Feltner Floors & Furniture ad. She plans to
use the prize money at Jerry’s Thriftway.
Self found her number on the ticket received from T-N-T hidden in
the Osage Building Materials ad. She plans to spend her scrip money
at Radio Shack, T-N-T and the grocery store.
Winning ticket numbers for instant prizes are printed within the
Christmas on Us ad in today’s newspaper. Match your number
with the one in the paper and get $50 in scrip money instantly.
These prizes must be claimed by Monday of each week at the newspaper.
For every $10 spent at “Christmas on Us” participating
merchants, shoppers get a ticket. Those who don’t buy, or
who are just looking, can get a free ticket each week by stopping
by The Herald-Chronicle office, the Overbrook Library and the Carbondale
Library. No purchase is necessary.
Be sure to attend the grand prize drawing at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec.
20, in the 500 block of Market Street in front of the Osage City
Senior Center. Free donuts and drinks will be offered by The Herald-Chronicle
staff in appreciation of merchants and local shoppers who have made
the contest possible.
You must be present to win, and the scrip money is only good at
participating merchants.
