OSAGE CITY — John Alex Earhart passed into heaven Dec. 5, 2018, to meet with family and friends at the rainbow bridge. He was 89.

Elora Marie Bickford

Oct. 13, 1946 – Dec. 5, 2018

BURLINGAME — Elora Marie Bickford, Burlingame, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2018, at her home. She was 72.

She was born Oct. 13, 1946, at Horton, the daughter of Willie H. and D. Alice Mellenbruch Smith. The family resided on a farm east of Fairview.

Bette Jean Hay Fowler

Dec. 12, 1934 – Nov. 10, 2018

WICHITA — Bette Jean Hay Fowler died Nov. 10, 2018, at Wichita. She was 83.

A memorial birthday party open luncheon will be 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 12, with a devotional held at noon at First Baptist Church, East Room, 600 E. Marlin, McPherson.

MaryRee Miller

Nov. 3, 1933 – Dec. 1, 2018

TOPEKA — MaryRee Miller, Melvern, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018, at Atria Hearthstone, Topeka. She was 85.

She was born Nov. 3, 1933, on family farm east of Melvern, daughter of Crayton and Mabel Heilman Hotchkiss. She lived all of her life in Melvern community and lived in Topeka for the last eight months.

She was a homemaker and owned Miller Lumber, Melvern, with her husband. She was a member of Melvern United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.

Kenneth D. Davidson

June 7, 1928 – Nov. 29, 2018

OVERBROOK — Kenneth D. Davidson, Burlingame, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2018 at Brookside Assisted Living, Overbrook. He was 90.

He was born June 7, 1928, at Whiting, the son of Frank and Hazel Fronk Davidson. He graduated from Whiting Rural High School, May 16, 1946. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from October 1950 to November 1952.

Tonia Jean Hunter

Aug. 14, 1945 – Nov. 29, 2018

TOPEKA — Tonia Jean Hunter, Burlingame, died Nov. 29, 2018, at St. Francis Campus, Topeka. She was 73.

She was born Aug. 14, 1945, at Emporia, the daughter of John William and Betty Jean Marsh Hunter. She graduated from Fort Hays State University and Emporia State University with a master’s degree.

She taught in several schools. She was a math teacher and high school guidance counselor at Burlingame High School before her retirement.

James Franklin White

Aug. 20, 1950 – Nov. 20, 2018

KANSAS CITY — James Franklin "Frank" White, Kansas City, died Nov. 20, 2018. He was 68.

He was born Aug. 20, 1950, Emporia, the second of seven children born to Warren and Joan Rudolph White. He graduated from Melvern High School in 1968. He later earned an associates degree in applied sciences through Fort Scott Community College.

Earl Dean Rogers

June 22, 1932 – Nov. 26, 2018

CLINTON, Mo. - Earl Dean "Bud" Rogers, Warsaw, Mo., died Monday, Nov. 26, 2018, at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital, Clinton, Mo. He was 86.

He was born on June 22, 1932, on Bessy Farm in Osage County, the son of Gilbert and Pearl Rogers.

He attended Bessy one-room school, Osage City and East Topeka Junior High School. He was a graduate of Kansas Highway Patrol Academy. He enlisted early in the U.S. Army and received an honorable discharge at the age of 19.

Beryl Braden Harris

June 30, 1915 – Nov. 27, 2018

FRONTENAC — Beryl Shurley-Braden Harris died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2018, at Oakview Estates Assisted Living Center, Frontenac. She was 103.

She was born June 30, 1915, in Cedar County, Mo., the daughter of Marion and Goldia Shurley. She was the oldest of seven children and grew up on a farm.

James Emil Rosetta

Feb. 23, 1941 – Nov. 24, 2018

TOPEKA — James Emil “Jim” Rosetta died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2018, at his home in Topeka. He was 77.

He was born Feb. 23, 1941, at Osage City, the son of Quinto Emil and Virginia Vietta Rosetta. He graduated from Topeka High School in 1959.

He married Susan Leigh Lombard April 8, 1967, at Topeka. She survived of the home. To this union two children were born, Emily and Todd.
