Neil A. Williams

July 14, 1932—December 19, 2013

VASSAR—Neil A. Williams died Dec. 19, 2013, at his home at Lamont Hill, near Vassar. He was 81.

He was born July 14, 1932, at Lyndon, the son of Clifford and Grace Lindsay Williams. He lived most of his life in the Lyndon community and lived at Vassar since 2000.

He graduated from Lyndon High School in 1950. He owned Williams Motor Company, Lyndon, sold Insurance, and was a car salesman in Topeka. He was a member of Lyndon Lions and Lyndon United Methodist Church. He was active in Osage County politics.

He married LoRee White Nov. 26, 1950, at Lyndon. She survives.

He was preceded in death by a son, Kent Williams on Feb. 15, 2003, and a granddaughter, Lindsay Williams on Oct. 26, 1997.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Gary (Martie) Williams and wife, Martie, Lewisville, Texas and Bruce Williams and wife, Charna, Lyndon; a daughter, Kimberly Norman and husband, George, Lyndon; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Dec. 28 at Feltner Funeral Chapel, Lyndon. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Dec. 27 at the funeral home and 12:30 p.m. till time of service Saturday. Private family inurnment will be at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice or Lyndon United Methodist Church and sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Ave., Lyndon, KS 66451.
